It’s July 1st and I am at the 2010 National Career Development Association (NCDA) Conference in San Francisco. Lots of great workshops! Congrats to the Ohio Career Development Association (OCDA) for receiving an award for an outstanding state chapter! Go Dr. Cynthia Marco-Scanlon!

In addition to Cleveland represented well by Cynthia, Sandy Bell, Director-Career Development and Elizabeth Gildone, Career Services for the Cleveland Clinic, gave a great presentation on Career Development and Organizational Talent Management Strategy: Prescriptions for Success. The employees of the Cleveland Clinic are in good hands with these ladies! Keep up the good work!

The staff of John Carroll University’s Center for Career Services completed their CDF training on May 19th. The group undertook an Independent Study Project that involved developing a proposal for creating a credit bearing course from Career Services that would be a required course for graduation. Excellent presentation! The students at John Carroll are in good hands with this team!

A New CDF Class Started-May7th!

Another group of great professionals started their CDF training with the LDW Group on May 7th at the Hampton Inn in downtown Cleveland. These career development practitioners came from Ontario, Canada, Kansas City, Missouri and from right here in Cleveland, Ohio for this valuable professional development course.

Here we are (below) going through a Helping Skills core competency role playing exercise. This group will finish on August 7th.
